We’re so excited for you to join us as a Brand Ambassador this Fall! We’re in the home stretch of your onboarding — once you’ve completed these steps and we have verified your materials, you will be ready to kick off your Brand Ambassador training on September 13!
Please complete these steps no later than end of day Monday, September 6.
Step 1: Fill out your onboarding paperwork
In this step, you’ll be filling out HR paperwork through the Barnes & Noble Education portal.
IMPORTANT: Your username and password to log into the portal will be the same email address and password you used to fill out the candidate application a couple of weeks ago!
Step 2: Submit Your I-9 Employment Verification Documents
Your final step is here! The I-9 is a US government document that employees provide, along with government documentation, to their employers to confirm their identity and authorization to work. You will be receiving an email from our HR partners at Barnes & Noble Education for you to securely upload your documents, so we recommend starting to pull together these documents if you have not already.
Your instructions for securely uploading your paperwork will come from Annalise Markessinis (firstname.lastname@example.org) with the subject line “ACTION REQUIRED: Submit bartleby BA I-9 paperwork“.
You can review the list of acceptable government documents through the link below. As you review the lists, keep in mind that there are specific requirements for which documents can be used:
- You can choose one LIST A document by itself.
- Or, if you prefer instead, you can choose one LIST B document and one LIST C document.
🚨 IMPORTANT: 🚨 You will physically need these documents with you in order to complete this step. If you go to school and your documents are at home, we suggest making arrangements with family to have these documents sent to you.
If you have any questions about the I-9 process, feel free email our HR team directly at email@example.com.
